Heat Karaoke Championships Official Rules

1. Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years or older to compete in venues that permit it. Proof of age may be required at registration.

• Finals will be held in a location that is 18+ friendly, and all participants must meet this requirement to compete in the finals.

2. Entry Guidelines

• Entry fee is $10 per performance.

• Participants may enter once per night per genre. Multiple attempts in the same night are not allowed.

• Participants may re-enter on different nights to improve their placement within a genre.

• Each participant must register with their name and contact information before performing.

3. Competition Format

• The competition is divided into three genres:

  • March: Rock

  • April: Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B

  • May: Country

• Monthly genre champions will be determined at the end of each month’s events.

• The top performers from each genre (number tbd, no less than 3) will advance to the finals to compete for the overall championship.

• Our Qualifier rounds will be blind judged on VOCALS ONLY. All finals Judging criteria will be based on vocal performance, stage presence, and audience engagement.

4. Prizes

• Monthly genre champions will receive a trophy and a cash prize.

• The overall tournament champion will receive a trophy and a grand cash prize.

• Prize amounts will be announced at the beginning of the competition.

5. Conduct

• Participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior toward other competitors, judges, and staff.

• Any inappropriate or disruptive behavior may result in disqualification.

• Song selections must be appropriate for public performance and adhere to venue guidelines.

• Any attempt to contact or influence judges with regards to the competition IN ANY RESPECT will cause you to be removed from the tournament with no refund. Judges are to report any such attempt to contact them.

6. Liability

• Heat Entertainment Group and participating venues are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or property damage incurred during participation in the event.

• Participants assume all risks associated with competing in the Heat Karaoke Championships.

7. Media Release

• By entering the competition, participants grant permission for Heat Entertainment Group to use their name, likeness, and performance in photographs, videos, and promotional materials without additional compensation.

• This includes, but is not limited to, advertising, social media, and event-related publications.

8. Additional Rules

• Venue rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times.

• Any decision made by judges or Heat Entertainment Group management is final.

• Rules are subject to change at the discretion of Heat Entertainment Group. Participants will be notified of any changes prior to their performance.

• This is a living document and may be updated until the first event begins.
