How Scoring Works

Every performance is evaluated by our panel of judges using 4 scoring elements for a maximum of 50 points.

1. Vocal Ability

15 pts

This includes pitch accuracy, tone quality, and the ability to maintain rhythm and tempo. It's about how well the participant can sing.

2. Song Choice / Difficulty

10 pts

Consider the complexity of the song chosen. Songs with a wider range, difficult notes, or complex rhythms might score higher in this category. Did the song fit the voice?

3. Creativity & Originality

10 pts

This could involve unique interpretations of songs, creative choreography, or adding a personal flair to the performance.

4. Overall Performance

15 pts

Encompasses the overall effectiveness of the performance. Consider the Delivery, Attire, Stage Presence, Audience Response and Lyric Memorization. The judge has a lot of discretion to score this based on the total number of elements achieved to create a memorable performance.
